Some days ago, we had a chance to feature Calley's Custom Creations and the interview behind it was a short but insightful peek into Calley Sassin's work and journey in business. A significant part of that dialog included her thoughts about working with a fellow woman entrepreneur and this is the edited transcript:
How does it feel to be supported by another woman entrepreneur?
Amazing! It makes me want to cry. Art is very personal and you might think your stuff is awesome, but you really don't know. So you sell it and get people interested. But [it's different] to be able to go to a well-established business in town and say, "Here's some of my stuff. What do you think? Could I put this in your store?"
It was a very anxious moment for me. Thankfully, [Susan] didn't leave me hanging too long. She got back to me right away to say yes. It was such a confirmation to me that I have something that was worth something. It gave me confidence to keep being creative and exploring and learning and growing, and being able to bless others with beautiful things.
